In many majuscule literary works main characters are given authoritative flaws that make them evil or immoral, however the circumstance or the motives surrounding the character are affable making the earshot become attached and more sympathetic towards said character. A great example of this is the dramatic play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof the listening is unresolved to many characters that have immoral flaws however one in particular gets the audiences sympathy. That character is Brick, Brick is a retired Football player rancid alcoholic partly due because he feels responsible for the self-destruction of his best friend maitre dhotel. Brick goes to his fathers birthday wino and continues drinking, and accidently tells his father that he has cancer. This by itself sounds like condemning try out that Brick is a horrible immoral person, provided we the audience feels more of sympathy toward him than anger because of the unfortunate circumstances that occurred in his life.
The audience never got the chance to meet skipper but we perceive that Brick and him used to be inseparable; they were professional football teammates and would surpass a lot of time together traveling and playing.

Brick greatly valued this acquaintance however; many people including his stimulate wife completely destroyed their friendship. People would call their friendship impure and wrong implying that they were homosexual. Margret, bricks wife, confronted Skipper and told him Stop lovin my husband or tell him hes got to let you admit it to him! To set up her wrong Skipper attempted to have sex with Margret but could not do it, which made him even, believe that he was gay. When Skipper told Brick that he might be gay Brick stopped talking to him, and in turn Skipper committed suicide. Brick felt lost and scared as well, almost as if he were faint of his sexual orientation himself.
