Edward Jenner was a Gloucestershire doctor, born in 1749 and died at the advance of 73, in 1823. He invented the vaccine in 1798. He has make a big impact in health and perception today, and millions of lives have been saved. He was very important in almost ways, but in some he wasnt. He was very much known as The Father of Immunology. This is because he has saved to a greater extent lives than anyone else before him has.
One way in which he wasnt so important was that he didnt understand the learning of germs, and he didnt know how it worked, so no more than vaccines were made at that time, because no-one knew about germs and bacteria. Also, the idea was very silent to be accepted because many people such as inoculators were opposed to it because they notion they would lose business and people thought that something could go wrong or they could die, so they didnt compliments to use it. The Royal Society also didnt desire to accept it because they didnt know Jenner as he was moreover a country doctor and because sometimes it worked, but them sometimes; unfortunately, it didnt work and people died from it.
On the other hand, a reason why he was so important was the event that Jenner was responsible for narkting rid of a huge cause of death disease, known by the name of smallpox.
