The works of literary productions that I am comparing and divide are Sinners in the hands of an hot under the collar(predicate) idol and Upon the blow a fuse mark of our House. These two works of literature were done by Puritans. They turn around religious belief and spiritual context. The Puritans wish that either event and everything that happens bears a divine message. Although the two works of literature are done by Puritans they have more differences that should be discussed. In Upon the burning of our house Anne Bradstreet uses poetry to pull up her emotions of hunch forward and sadness. Anne Bradstreet was an essential American poet that uses meter, archaic verbiage and inverted syntax in her poetry. When she talks ab let on the night of her burning house, she is officious to mention that the first thing she did was formula to God for attention and guidance. To my God my heart did cry to prove me in my distress. (Bradstreet p.140) She asked God for s trength, and once she was out of her house and out of danger, she gave thanks to God. She utter blest his name that gave and took for she was glad most universe alive and wasnt worrying about what was being destroyed. She is understanding and realizes that wholly she had was non hers but Gods. Bradstreet is not weeping every over her losses or is angry for what has happened. She understood that what God gives he could take and that she should not opine for she has her life. Bradstreet however doesnt get over the fact that she misses her memories in her house. She misses what was once in her house and all the memories that were within the house. She doesnt put much sorrow in it because she knows that all the tangible things that were destroyed were just vanity. Even though her house fire down and she lost all her possessions she pull up wager always have a house in promised footing to go to. She knows she will need nothing in prudence for all would be provided By Go d in sagacity and that the real treasure li! es in heaven with God.
